He apparently took less money to be closer to his kids in Arizona so I'm pretty sure the Brewers wouldn't have been able to get him at that price.

Ahh Mike Hampton, the guy who's been paid more not to play than any other player in baseball history. Teams keep shelling out money and he keeps watching his teammates play ball.
