in short, all kinds of stuff

Last time I went I got a few fitted hats for $5 each, an El Caballo shirt for $1, a Miller Park tapestry for $30 (normally $75 i think)

There is game used stuff for a lot of $$$$, bats, jerseys, line up sheets and such

Stuff the never sold well really like neon pink/yellow/blue Brewers ladies jerseys

I was told if you get there right away they have extra things they never gave away, like bobbles, but I can't be sure of that

The Brewers issued a press release today with details about hours, location, etc.

Friday and Saturday (12/5-6) from 9:00 AM-7:00 PM, Sunday 12/7 from 10-5. Enter by the Hot Corner and apparently they'll have directions posted to get you to the lower level and the visitors' clubhouse. (Last year there were no posted directions; we took the elevator near the Fan Zone to the lower level.)

In past years I've seen extras of stadium giveaway items, but I wonder if there would be much of that this year - since just about every giveaway game was a sellout.

They'll have postseason stuff (it says so in the press release), perhaps t-shirts for players who aren't coming back, odds and ends that didn't sell at regular price. Things like that tend to go for pretty cheap - more like rummage sale type prices. Last year you could get magnets, keychains, etc. in the "25th anniversary of 1982" logo for like $1 each.

The game used stuff will be uber-pricey for big names. Last year you could drop $2000 for a Braun jersey, $500 or so for the likes of Hart or Hardy. I can only imagine what anything bearing the name Sabathia would cost. Game used items for, um, lesser names (think Chad Moeller or Julian Tavarez) would be a lot less. For example, last year the batboy jerseys were like $75, as were such memorable names as Nick Leyva, Joe Winkelsas, and (as sgtcluels will remind us) Gabe Gross.

Lineup cards were available last year, as Ross points out. We got one two years ago for like $30 and I believe they cost a good bit more last year.

I'm sure the best items not requiring a mortgage to buy will be snapped up early, hopefully by fans and not exclusively by the ebay crowd. Coming from out of town, we've never arrived at the opening hour, yet have always found something interesting without breaking the bank.

The press release mentions the free 2008 season DVD if you spend $100, but it looks like they mean $100 spent in the Fan Zone (not at the clubhouse sale) during December. This is the same DVD that people who attended the October 4 NLDS game got a voucher for. The DVD will be available starting December 15 and will include not only 30 minutes of 2008 highlights, but the full FSN broadcast of the September 28 clincher game.

So, now I'm pumped up for Friday. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Well, if I ever see someone wearing a Winkelsas jersey at a game, I'll have to overcome my fear of asking someone if they're a bf.net poster (the fear is if they're not).

Imagine the value, on this site at least, of a Branyan jersey. Sigh. I miss him already.

Ah, you don't want to be in the crazy rush anyway. I'm guessing we'll arrive mid-morning, I hope in the 10:00 hour, and of course will be stopping for lunch at Gilles after. We saw Bud and his black Lexus last year; maybe we will again.

I might even wear a Brewerfan shirt.

Picked up a Mike Rivera retro BP jersey from the '06 season at last year's sale. It was a little big for me, but I figured he was one of the few jerseys available at $75 that had a shot to be on the '08 roster. I wore that thing to a bunch of games and usually was asked if it was a Sheffield or Sexson jersey. I think it may have been the only Rivera jersey worn to MP last season.

It's a waste. I got there an hour ahead of time (Hi to anyone else freezing in line). Plenty of Jerseys, but no stars. Price? Start at 200, and for stars like Dessens, Cappelan, Gross (To bad it was 275), Estrada. Helmets? 300 bucks for a Hall helmet.... 300 bucks.

Lots and Lots of Hardy stuff there, I snagged a ROMLB Signed baseball and a signed picture. Lots of Wild Card stuff, plenty of regular gear but nothing "unique"

Yeah I was disappointed in the game used items. Very pricey and nothing that good. Locker room name plates were starting at $80, Cameron was $100, Prince was $160. GU bats started at $150, helmets started at $150 or $200. They had a #52 but it wasn't CC, it was Capellan. Hardy signed ROMLBs were $20, autographed & framed 8x10 or 11x14 for $60 (best deal they had considering the frame job), and $60 for a signed replica bat. All hats were $5 - I got a 08 ASG hat that was normally $50. Had Brewer logo on front and Yankee ASG logo on side. Also got a fitted hat that they wore with the flag on the "M." Wild card t-shirts are $10, hoodies are $20.

Very long lines. Can't believe how many people went there.

Yeah... very disappointing this year. Sgt and I were on the first elevator down.

Last year all helmets were $75 and jerseys for mediocre players (Jenks, Soup, Bush) were $75. They didn't even have players THAT good... and the cheapest were around $200 this year. No thanks.

I did wind up with a Gallardo locker room name plate. I figure that will be a nice unique souvenir from the wildcard season. Also got a signed JJ ball.

They do have better apparel this year though... some nice shirts, hoodies, hats, etc. Last year everything seemed pretty ugly.

Yeah, I was also disappointed. Got there about 920 and stood in line for about 45 mins before I ever got inside. Then waited another 20 to check out when I was done.

I would have really like the ASG hat mentioned above, so if anyone goes and they restock and gave those, please grab one for me. I'd be ever so appreciative.

I was looking for ASG jersey Tshirts, but only found Sheets. I think the Braun and Hart ones went right away.

By the tone of this thread, it seems like the sale was a bit of a let down. I'm nearly 4 hours away and was considering driving down tomorrow (thorough snow, light as it may be it still could cause some issues). Are you saying I should probably stay away?

Assuming the answer is yes, if anyone is planning on stopping by and could pick up a bag of trinket items ($5 and under) for me as stocking stuffers, please PM me. The game-used items, at those prices, are of no interest to me, but those ASG and particularly the Flag hats are (big head--size 7 5/8 or 7 3/4). I'll pass on the stripper hat, though.

I'd be most appreciative of both the advice and the shopping help!

Tristar, you must have been in there when I was in line to check out.

I saw that hat, sgt....I was a little perplexed. I was disappointed that there weren't any women's fitted hats in my size, or toddlers size clothing. I did get a 3-pack of onesies for $5...those will come in handy for my friend who's expecting.

I might go back tomorrow just to check it out and see if they restock with better stuff.

I will say, the selection of women's clothing was much better than last year. Unfortunately, it appeared to be geared toward the teeny bopper demographic.

I don't know, I got a lot of stuff for about $40. (2 tee shirts, 2 hats, 2 big bobble heads, pennant, pin). Normally, I would have probably paid over $100 for all those items. I was looking for stocking stuffers for St. Nicks's tomorrow for my 10 year old. Not a whole lot of small items that would fit in a stocking, but the big bobble heads ($5 each) will give him a couple of more presents to open on Christmas.
