63 here in Chicago tomorrow.

I did a comparison of the 10 day forecast for San Antonio (where I currently live) vs. Sheboygan (where I used to live). It's consistently going to be in the 70's here, and today in Sheboygan the forecasted high is 57 and then over the next few days falling down to consistent 20's for highs. I'll take what I got.

well, they delayed school 2 hours this morning. It looks so beautiful here with all the snow (about 3" total). But it was the wet heavy snow and the temps plunged into the 20s overnight so everything is now frozen.

Luckily, I know how to drive in this stuff. Had we left the house 20 seconds earlier, however, we would have got nailed by some lady who took a curve way too fast and fish-tailed into our lane before crashing into some guys yard, nearly taking out his fence. As we pass her, she's just laughing. Idiot.

I took some pictures last night and this morning. I'll post them when I get home.

Took me a few days to finally find to time to put them up, but here are a few snapshots:

This is the first shot I took, when I forgot to turn the flash off. But it still makes a pretty neat effect.

Here's the same shot, minus the flash.

Here, our rose bushes are shivering.

The next morning, I went out to take some shots. About 3 inches on the ground at our house, with more in the higher elevations.

We don't get sloppy frozen streets like this too often down here.

Nice view of some of the smaller mountains over our neighbors' homes.

Of course, I was a doofus and didn't bring the camera with me to school that morning. It would have been awesome to get some more panoramic shots since it was so gloriously white and frozen.

Cold and rainy here in LA all weekend. "Cold" relatively speaking in LA - highs in the 50's but when your roommate who owns the house never turns on the heat it gets pretty darned cold in the house when it is only 50 degrees or less outside. So with the long weekend (we have Monday off) it's supposed to rain all weekend thus probably can't play golf, I just got passed over for a promotion again when I was told that I don't have enough experience when the person they hired has two years less industry experience than I do, my friend got hosed in the realignment and didn't get assigned the territory he lives in and thus will not be reporting to me, and I had a composite filling that broke off and can't get fixed until Monday so I have to drink warm beer all weekend because of the sensitivity of the tooth.

This weekend sucks.

Winter in south Texas is amazing. Wednesday and yesterday's highs were in the mid-80s and today the high is predicted to be 93. Tomorrow it will cool down to ONLY 70 for a high, and ONLY 63 for a high Sunday, but I'm wearing shorts and flip-flops today and loving it! Then it gets back into the mid 80s. The only thing that would make it a bit better is if we got some rain to help green up my grass and the golf courses.

We're potentially supposed to have frost tonight here in south Texas. That really sucks, but I'll take 60s during the day and 30s at night for about 2 nights as opposed to snow and cold and schizophrenic weather up north. We'll be back to mid 80s on Monday. I already have roses blooming!
