Brewers in on Gagne? - Final: to Boston

Is Gagne going to be a Type A free agent? Type is determined by stats from the last two years and Gagne, though having a great year this year, only pitched two innings last year. Will that push him down to a lower Type?

What about Gwynn is so special that he's untouchable. He's like Dave Roberts, there's a ton of those guys floating around.

What about including Joe Dillon? He has no future here, being a 3B, as Braun plays there.

Dillon's AAA Stats:

.320 AVG, 20 HR, 73 RBI, 49 BB/32 K, .409 OBP, .611 SLG, 1.017 OPS

A package of Dillon, Gwynn, Zach Jack, T-Bow?

Dillon, Aquino, Zach Jack, T-Bow?

Trade for Eric Gagne without getting rid of Turnbow than ship Turnbow off for Dye.

CL: Gagne

SU: Cordero

7th inning: Linebrink

6th Inning: Villy

5th Inning: Wise, Shouse

C: Estrada

1B: Fielder

2B: Weeks

3B: Braun

SS: Hardy

LF: Hart

CF: Hall

RF: Dye

1. Hart

2. Hardy

3. Braun

4. Fielder

5. Dye

6. Hall

7. Estrada

8. Weeks

This makes you easily a playoff team and maybe even more.

That is nice, but I doubt we can get Dye and Gagne today.

Well it seems the Yanks and Mets are out. That would leave the Red Sox & Brewers.

"The Red Sox would probably give up David Murphy and the Brewers would surrender Tony Gwynn Jr. If the Rangers would settle for Gwynn, a deal could happen quickly because Gagne cannot veto a trade there. However, he can block a move to Boston and that would present another obstacle. "

Could TGJ really be the centerpiece of this deal? If so maybe we won't have to give up as much as I originally thought.

Sexy, but I'll take the LF platoon the Brewers have now. Granted, Dye has been playing better recently, but he's too much of a injury risk, and the LF platoon has outperformed him this season. Plus, Kenny Williams wants Turnbow and Parra for Dye.
