i assume the gripes will begin as of tonight. lol.

Everything that went wrong tonight is something that can only be fixed with experience as far as the younger players go.

I'm only worried about Prince in that his confidence will get down and this will last longer than it has to. But i believe that towards the end of the season he'll do more than a few interviews about his ugly start as he gets better and better and probably laugh about it. I was REALLY proud of the hometown crowd lending their support to the guy. JJ Hardy wasn't much better at first, except that Fielder is just trying to knock em out every time.

We don't need 60 Homeruns from you Prince, just play your game. Don't worry, we are patient despite all the complaints about everything else.

Pittsburgh just lost the kind of game we have always been good at losing. You know, "almost," "if," "just a break and..."

These are tough to watch, but they are the kind of games that seperate the pack.

It will be fun to see how it goes!

Was that BrewerJamie sitting in the buckethead section? I think they just showed him on TV.

That was me. Now I have to charge you guys per appearance at BF.Net gatherings.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

We got home from the game and my father in law said I was on TV. Hope I wasn't picking my nose or anything.....

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

Prince started out slow in AAA Nashville last year too. I believe if not tommorow, this weekend he is going to have a breakout game.

I was glad to see that the fans gave him a standing ovation however. It's not like some teams like the Yankees or Dodgers where they will Boo the heck out of you.

Brewerjamie's jersey is a David "Stormy" Weathers special.

Bye Victor, better luck next time old friend.

Sure, as long as you're not playing the Brewers. It was redeeming to see the Victor of most of '05 tonight - in the opposing uniform. Right down to his body language which to me has always looked lackadaisical. I realize it may not be, but bleah.

My curse on Jack Wilson finally took hold when he had that throwing error. That was satisfying.

I had to take one of my can't-trust-him walks around the concourse when Kolb took the mound. He must accomplish more before he can earn back my confidence.

It felt like a no-brainer to stand for Prince's last at bat. Everyone around us just kind of did it as a matter of course. We all know he'll be fine.

In the way-off chance that Mark Attanasio is reading, THANK YOU again for the freebie game at the end of last season. That led to our vouchers for "best available" tickets for tonight's game, which were awesome (112, not far from the Brewers' dugout). I had a great angle on the Capuano-to-Fielder pickoff path - almost worth letting some Pirates get on base - and we even won free pizza coupons when the kid won the catching contest and section 112 was the section of the night. $38 seats for $14 (plus we got to see the last home game last year).

I'm so glad the season is underway.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Nice win. Not too worried about Prince, just keep thinking about JJ last year, when those first couple of hits are taken care of, he'll be fine... Good to see the vampire in form today, hell even Darron and Bill were riding him..

my 3 biggest concerns is prince and the depth of the bullpen. I think Prince will come out of it, and is just pressing. Once he learns he doesnt need to swing for the fence all the time he will be fine. Lehr and Wise has impressed me so far, I am worried about kolb de la rosa, and capellan in the pen. Finally while rickey did well at the plate, he still had a tough play in the field. I know the right side of the infield is young and is oging to struggle, but its still a concern
