Colors are switching: what do you see?

Weird odd/even class switcheroo

On Yuku pages here on Brewerfan, when colors alternate, odd numbered boxes are supposed to be white and even numbered boxes are supposed to be gray. I'm seeing the opposite in two profiles. Two other profiles I've checked are fine.

This isn't happening on the main board page, but it's happening on forum pages and within threads. The first thread/post should be white, the second thread/post should be gray, the third should be white, etc. [in other words, within a thread, the lead should be white, the next post (reply #1) should be gray, reply #2 should be white, reply #3 should be gray, etc.]

Visually, this isn't a big deal. However, when HTML starts changing like this, it could be a sign of a bigger issue that could cause trouble down the road.

Could members please let me know what you're seeing on the forum and thread pages? Knowing whether you're viewing pages either correctly or incorrectly would be a huge help.

I'll report results back to Yuku by linking to this thread.

Thanks!

Then you're in the backwards crowd with me, Sam. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

ewizabeff's report is one I didn't expect to see. I should float through some of my test profiles (I have a bunch) to see if I can find one that does that.

When I read the thread, the colors line up like they did for Sam.

In the Post a reply screen, the colors are opposite. I don't know if that matters.

This thread is now crying out for an image of the Simpsons episode where the Springfield Elementary school uniforms take on psychedelic colors, after being exposed to rain and not being colorfast...but sadly, I haven't been able to find one.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

My newest report is that I just might be an idiot. If I look at what the boxes are actually numbered in the thread pages, odds are white and evens are gray. I was dumb, and considered the lead post (gray) to be #1 (therefore odd) and the first reply (which is actually #1) to be an number two (and therefore even). sorry if I sent you on a wild goose hunt casey.

Not at all, ewizabeff. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Thanks for the clarification, though.

Now that I look at it, I think I may not have been clear. To thoroughly confuse everyone, odd numbered replies are actually even numbered posts. Yuck. The lead should be white, the next post (reply #1) should be gray, reply #2 should be white, reply #3 should be gray, etc. I'll try to clarify the lead.

I'm seeing some odd stuff when previewing. For me, when previewing a lead, it's always white. When previewing a reply, it's always gray. I wonder what the "expected" behavior is actually supposed to be.

By the way, ewizabeff, I didn't edit anything on your post above, I was playing with the preview thing and hit "edit" by mistake.
