Milwaukee-Waukesha steak joints?

Monday is my last day of a long tenured job. As I complete one phase of my life and get ready to embark on the next I would like to head out tomorrow night and celebrate the occassion.

 

We're casual people, so Ponderosa was good enough (don't laugh). Now that they're in Chapter 7, time to find another place. We went out to Outback after we closed on our condo, they were OK. Please don't recommend Mo's or Bartalotta's becuase I don't want to dress up and am not eager to take out a second mortgage.

 

Any suggestions? Thanks.

A decent low to mid-range place that I liked was the Prime Quarter. You pick out the meat you want and grill it yourself the way you want it. Or you can have them make it for you.

How much are you looking to spend?

 

Jackson Grill on 37th and Mitchell is excellent. It's closed on Mondays though.

If you like that sort of casual place, any of the Texas Roadhouses would work. There's Brisco County out by the Falls if you're that way. I assume the Silver Spur is still closed/never reopening.

Eric's Porter House in Waukesha is good ... plus, there's always coupon's in the mailers that get sent out every week.

As it turns out, my co-workers presented me with an Outback gift card as a parting gift. So we went there in their honor.

 

However, I like bullox's idea. PQ will be the next place we head to the next big occassion.

 

Ponderosa by Southridge is still in business.

Eric's was discussed. I've been there a couple of times and had duck. Nice place but a little too fancy for me this time.
