Matty Wise's 7th = Webster's dictionary definition for "WHEELS COMING OFF"

All the Brewers fans who thought playoffs....empty that thought from your minds. The team is 1) too young 2) too inconsistent 3) terrible hitting with RISP 4) terrible hitting in general.

You don't win games like that, let alone get anywhere near the playoffs.

Proven by what? Until you have something to back you up, it's just your opinion, and not a fact of any kind.

Oh man.

What was I thinking. J. Dude. Come on. Stating your OPINION on a message board? Come on now. Get with it. This is brewerfan. You need actual formulas to say something.

OK, its not a fact that wise SUCKS IMO.

this team believed their hype and now they are close to the wheels fallin off. They still can"t hit in the Clutch and Yost sitll makes moves that make you go Hmm.

well with the nice weather here i guess i can get some sun now that the Brewers are playing their worst ball

This team is very young. The offense will definitely improve as the year goes along. The pitching (AKA Wise) really threw a stinker today. If he pitches better (as he usually does) we win this game. I see this team to be very similar to last years Indians. They started out real slow, but once their young players got in the swing of things, they put on a real show (and just barely missed the playoffs).

Limited opportunites?

Are you looking for a 5-year sample size or something?

-----------

Ok team canada.

Please tell me how many years of Matt Wises career he has been EXPECTED to BE a DOMINANT setup man in the major leagues?

Do some of you realize some stats mean jack crap? Apparently not.

Wise before LAST year was a NOBODY, and last year he made a name for himself and did well, but NEVER ONCE has he been a guy on a PLAYOFF caliber team that gets the job done when it matters most.

Man, some of you are so brainwashed to the medicore lifestyle its sad.

The brewers are medicore and have guys who project to be better than average because of that. Please take the goggles off.

There's nothing wrong with stating your opinion... just don't state it as a fact, especially when the stats show that you couldn't be more incorrect.

Bucksman,

While I agree that 3 of the last 4 have been as ugly as it gets...

Last year:

-The Yankees and Red Sox were both embarassed by the D'Rays.

-The Astros strated off as the Laughing stock of the League

-The San Diego Padres game up 20 runs to the Rockies...in one game.

-The Royals won a series vs. the White Sox

All of the teams in question made the playoffs, and all of them experience woes similar to those of the Crew right now.

Katuluu.....

You are the winner!!!! I was waiting for someone to tell me it was "only April". These sort of things set the tone for the season. Disappointing losses like these are telling of the character of the ballclub and the way that clutch hitting is non-existent. The worst hitting team in the MLB and you're telling me there's a chance? Our pitching is good....but not nearly good enough to carry us all season long. Yost has to get his head out of his lower extremities and start switching up the batting order or putting guys in there who can hit (ie. Gross!!! Hart!!!). Mix it up. If Yost's definition of mixing it up is putting Chad Moeller in there, then good luck.

I agree with what you're saying, but good grief all you do if comment on other people's posts.

welcome to brewerfan. Where the regulars rip on others posts instead of talking about the team. Posts I might add that are NOT directed at them.

Us, who want to rip or praise the team we love get ripped on by the regs all of the time because we dont meet their level for some reason. Sad.

it is april, however you need to win these games...it's these games that in the end do decide who makes the playoffs wether it be the division or the wild card...You know the Cardnials and Astros won't lose these games....the old saying, you can't make the playoffs at the start of the year, but you can miss out on them..

Some records so far this season...

Brewers -7-6

Yankees - 6-6

Blue Jays - 6-6

Angels - 6-7

Athletics - 6-7

Braves - 6-8

Anyone who's freaking out needs to just chill. We've only played 13 games, we'll be fine.

Im sorry, did I say that it was fact that I think Wise blows? I thought me saying my feelings means it was opinion.

----

actually Peavy, read what I said before emotionally ripping me.

Im not gonna rip on Wise, even though I think he is junk,

Do I have to go as so low as to explain the meaning of THINK???

No I dont.

Quote:
is the hitting coach at fault at all? it seems to me, that the Brewers just havent hit at all since he has been there

I couldn't agree more...but then again when it comes to Wynegar, I love to hate. Still, I do not see what possible drawback there would be to replacing him. We flat-out stink at the plate, especially with RISP. Replacing him would have either no effect at all or be an improvement. There is nowhere to go but up.

Now, I'm sure there's not exactly a glut of qualified hitting coaches sitting around eating peanut butter sandwiches on the sofa at this point in the season, but I sure hope they take a good long look elsewhere by next spring.

Wow, it's a forum version of a barroom brawl.

Cmon, people, we're all pissed, but let's not take it out on one another. We're all united in our love for the Crew... aren't we? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'd strongly urge you to change your attitude and stop the insults, or your stay here will probably be brief.

----

But you can mistrue my words and call me out and insult my intelligence that it makes it ok that you do it?

I wonder if all of the media hype knows these rules, where regular posters can challenge new posters but new posters cannot do the same? Spare me.

ANd frankly, I didnt say ONE thing to ANY ONE POSTER!
