I am bumped, i can't go to any of these games and least i can see my Brewers on tv. On my way to work today, i was listining to sports radio here in Houston and a caller was complainging about the lack of covrage the Astro's are getting on espn. I wanted to call and say mabe the reason is that who have the Astro's played, there early season games have been quite easy, not like what the Brewers are played.

There was a big Dave Bush resemblance discussion in the last game he started.

Some agreements were reached on looking like one of the Bobs from Office Space who was also in Scrubs, and Seann William Scott, of "Stiffler" fame from American Pie.

Anyway, about the game: hopefully the Brewers shake their habit of getting blanked by rookies and soft-tossing old guys. After all, we haven't tattooed any aces yet this year, which usually either preceded or followed an embarrassing outing.

Either way, if this kid gets the better of us, that just means that we'll drive Oswalt or Pettitte's ERA numbers up closer to their age in one of the other games.

What I would like to see in the game today:

1) Fielder moved up in the order. I would like to see him hitting fifth, or preferably third, with Jenkins fifth - Jenkins has historically (stat-heads, back me up here) hit better in the five-hole than in the three, if memory serves. Then move Koskie to seven.

2) Some offense, please.

3) Second straight error-free game.

4) The good Dave Bush, not the bad.

5) Never mind the rest, I just want to see a win.

I to think Fielder should hit 3rd because he is hitting very well and pitchers are just pitching him garbage to get to either Miller/Moeller and then the pitcher. If you bat him 3rd they must pitch to him because Carlos is behind him. And yes Geoff got red hot last year while batting 5th. This should be lineup:

1. Brady Clark-CF

2. JJ Hardy-SS

3. Prince Fielder-1B

4. Carlos Lee-LF

5. Geoff Jenkins-RF

6. Rickie Weeks-2B

7.Corey Koskie/Bill Hall-3B

8. Damian Miller-C

9. Pitcher

I do like that lineup a lot myself, however I still think it may be too early to move prince to 3. It seems a lot of his hits have been lucky, and not the power we have all heard he is capable of producing. On the other hand, maybe a change in the lineup would be a good thing. The players are hitting, but just not when it counts and maybe this tweaking would somehow turn in some runs. Either way I would love to see some runs produced tonight.

i disagree that prince's hits have been lucky. he's been having a lot of solid singles... unfortunately, you look for more than singles out of your 3 hitter. i think putting him at the 5 hole would be wise, just to get a shake up in the lineup.

I want good Dave Bush. Kinda scary how night and day he was with his control in his first two starts.

So hopefully they can light up this new kid and keep a weaker offense then we've seen the last two series down.

Really a key game of this series. Don't want to be down 0-1 then have to beat a teams top two pitchers (one being roy oswalt) to win the series.

I would like to see Fielder moved up to 5 also. I know that Ned tried to take the pressure off of him, but I think he can handle it. Koskie has been hitting pretty well, but I would rather see Prince in that spot.

Bush should do alright tonight. He gets ahead of hitters, so the only real guy to worry about for homers is Biggio. The others are selective, and with 2 strikes might take less of a hack. Hopefully Prince, Rickie, and JJ bang the ball all over the park. Lots of room for some Rickie Weeks triples

How many times does darron and bill show the pole that Sexson hit in the outfield?

Last outing for Bush I noticed he was having trouble as soon as a runner or two got on base. Hopefully if he walks someone or gives up a base hit he doesn't try to do too much.

Seriously how many multi hit games does billy need to stay in the lineup for more than a day? And extra base hits at that when we dont get many. No one is really cold but I think he needs to be in there more than twice a week.

I don't know, but Jenkins is looking very James Hetfield-ish to me these days.

Balls do seem to fly outta that Enron-tainted juice box. Here's one for Carlos smashing one over that silly choo-choo train tonight.

It is very comforting for me to know that at 7-5 we have played nowhere near our potential and that teams like the Reds and Perhaps Astros are playin about as well as they possibly could. If we can be above 500 and have the least amount of runs scored once we start hitting we will be in the tp teir of the NL. Looking forward to this game and I ahve a good feeling. My last good feeling was Saturday when we pounded the Mets. This Taylor guy wont make it out of the 5th it is my personal gaurantee!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
