04/18/2006 Brewers (Davis) @ Astros (Oswalt) 7:05 PM, CST

This crappy team lost 13-12 to last year's National League Champion, all while getting all over their ace pitcher.

Yeah, same old Brewers. This team is horrible. Get ready for a 60 win season. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Miller is just pathetic up there right now. I haven't seen him hit a ball in the outfield all year long. Nubby ground ball outs galore.

Kudos to Lee and Prince tonight. The kid showed me some heart by roping that 0-2 ball vs. Lidge. No easy task. But that Miller guy is terrible. Melvin didn't do his work this winter addressing that pressing need: catching!

Just don't get swept tomorrow, Brewers. This road trip has been painful enough.

You just sense that this team is waiting to bust loose and go on another win streak, but the little things keep getting them.

Man, if only Davis hadn't gotten blown up tonight.

Ralph, it seems like you're not happy unless everyone posts something nice about the team.

I have absolutely no problem with negativity. What I have a problem with is posters coming out and saying things like this team is horrible, that the pitching staff sucks, that they will regress from last year, and really having nothing to back it up with. I have a problem with the negativity even while the team is making a HUGE comeback.

Yes, I'm a big Brewer fan, but I guess I don't get suicidal or want to kick my dog when they lose. Tonight was one hell of a game. Yes, the Brewers came up on the losing side. YES is SUCKS. But it happened, so you have to live with it. Giving yourself a coronary over one game isn't worth it.

Miller was 2-4 tonight with an opposite field double.

That being said, I would've pinch hit for him.

That being said, I don't think anyones going to be calling to offer me a manager position.

we can come back from 9 runs down with bunches of homers, but we still can't get a single with runners on 2nd and 3rd..

we can work on that, though.

This should get the boys nice and hungry to go out and win tomorrow..

Next time listen to "The Steve's" before you declare the season over after 5 innings.

A few thoughts on tonight's game and the season...

I can't fault the team for giving up, that is for sure.

Could the bullpen please hold a team where they are when the Brewers take the lead/start mounting a comeback?

Lidge was clearly struggling and Koskie and Weeks and Miller let him off the hook with poor ABs. I understand that Lidge is tough late in the count, but he was not his dominating self tonight.

I am not ready to jump off the bridge like many. This season is obviously not over. Has it been a frustrating road trip? Yes, but you have to expect the good and the bad with a team with so many young players. Hopefully the Brewers can salvage a game tomorrow and go back home above .500.

There are 148 games left and the team is at a respectable 7-7, finishing off what is going to be by far the toughest road trip of the year. Let's get one tomorrow and get well at home.

Prince, Lee and Jenks are all locked in pretty well. Could be a fun next couple of days providing we can get some pitching.

Hmmm...is tonight a sign that we're about to break out and get back on the winning track or just a case of guys hitting when the pressure is off and we're down 9 runs?

I will say this...

I think this has to be the toughest road trip of the year. Cards are tough no matter where you play them. Mets have the best record in baseball and a killer lineup. And Minute Maid is our personal house of horrors. If we avoid getting swept in all 3 places with a win tommorrow and get past this road trip with a record above .500, I'll be able to put this all behind me real quick.

Pettitte going tomorow. Gotta say that I think Gross has earned a start, I just don't know where. Good job coming back. I had written this one off, and went to get some grub. I think they said Weeks has a 6 or 7 game hitting streak...I had no idea! and Fielder is now 19 for his last 33 if my math is correct.

badger did you even watch the brewers or miller last year, he had a pretty good year, aren't the bucks playing tonight.

Hey mark, I know you want to join Ralph in piling on my comments but that one about Miller didn't belong to me. FWIW, losing tonight had nothing to do with Miller coming up with 2 outs in the ninth.
