Having Trouble Installing Windows Updates, Help Please

For some reason I can't get my Windows Updates to install. I have XP and "Windows XP Service Pack 3" won't install. Anyone know why? Or how I can get it to?

It could be a space problem, but I'd guess it's more of a corruption issue.

 

Double Click the My Computer Icon

Right Click on the C drive

Left Click Properties

Left Click the Tools tab

Under Error Checking Left Click Check Now

Under Check Disk options Select Both Boxes and Click Start

You will get a message telling you the system will be checked the next time you restart.

 

Do a restart on your computer and let computer check itself for errors, this will take some time. When it finally boots back into Windows XP try the automatic update icon again. If it still fails I'd download it directly from microsoft and run it so you can see exactly what the error is.

Yeah I did. TheCrew07 I did what you told me to do and that worked. But man you were right, it took forever.
