I don't have it on TV either, but Freel grounded to 1st and beat Feilder to the bag. So either Tomo was late getting over to 1st or Feilder made a bad judgement by taking it himself.

Well according to Gameday they were both extremely close to being homers.

On mlb.TV, both Hardy and Lee's hits looked like homers off the bat (Lee was even doing his staring walk). Both easily caught at the wall.

on the first batter (Freel), Fielder broke right to grab it, then stopped and ran to the bag. But by the time Weeks was ready to throw, Freel was practically on the bag. Just a soft bouncer hit right to the hole that froze our 1b just long enough for a speedster to beat it out.

 

As for Hardy, he hit it 2 steps onto the track...not all that close. Lee's was hit hard, but came down halfway back on the track

 

 

Small strike zone tonight. It especially is hurting Ohka, as he's thrown 4-5 at the knees that are called balls
