10/04/08 Phillies (Moyer) at Brewers (Bush): 5:30 PM CDT

It's my first time ever starting a game thread, hopefully it ends well for the Brewers.

The lean, mean Dave Bush vs the former Cubbie Jamie Moyer. May the Brewers prevail in this must win game.

Go Brewers!

If our hitters realize that to beat Moyer you need to go the other way we will be fine. But if they start trying to pull everything it could be a long game.

I have faith in Bush, I think he can get it done. But the offense has to give him something. We need to score at least 4-5 runs to win this game.

Must win. No booing unless it relates to a bad call in-game, then let the ump have it. The players are pressing enough as it is, no need to jump on their backs even more.

Sec 421, Row 20 (I think) group of 6, with at least 6 other friends sprinkled around the park. Tailgate atmosphere should be fun.

I really hope there are no boos. I'd probably go off if someone near me started booing at Brewers.

I'll be there with my family. Section 416 Row 1 Seats 9-12. I'll be sporting a Corey Hart jersey tee and a playoff beard about as sad as the Brewers first two games this series.

Since I'm headed out of town for the weekend and won't be near a computer (don't worry, we've already found places to watch the game), let me just wish the Brewers the best of luck at Miller Park, and please give me a Game 5 IGT to come back to next week.

If things don't work out as hoped, please try to remember to have enjoyed the season and remain civil towards your fellow posters.

I am in the opinion that booing at games is acceptable if a player dogs it or if they make a bonehead play that costs us the game, but I am in total agreement that you cannot boo this team now -- they're in the playoffs. What happens in this series will not be positively affected in any way by fan's booing. At this point, remember that the team has said all the right things and they are happy to bring playoff baseball back to Milwaukee. Let's show our appreciation and cheer loud and proud. We're a good home team -- it's not outside the realm of thinking that we can win two home games in a row here.

I agree.

However, with the recent comments attributed to C. Hart and his questionable (to be kind) approach at the plate, I am sure that there will be "fans" just waiting boo him for doing something stupid at a crucial moment, forgetting how much he contributed to this team in the first half. Hopefully, he won't give them the opportunity.

I heard on ESPN that Weeks and Hall were starting. The way Moyer is pitching, I don't have much confidence. BUT I'm going to wear my lucky socks that I haven't worn since opening day. I'm hoping itll help Hall. Go Crew, Go Badgers, Go Pack. After last weekend (save the Brewers sunday game) I feel like we're due for a good weekend in wisconsin sports.

Whoa, that picture makes him look hella tough. Bring home a quality start, Dave Bush! and everyone else, BACK HIM UP (teammates and fans alike).

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world

She took the midnight train goin anywhere

Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit

He took the midnight train goin anywhere

A singer in a smokey room

A smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night

It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searching in the night

Streetlight people, living just to find emotion

Hiding, somewhere in the night

Working hard to get my fill,

Everybody wants a thrill

Payin anything to roll the dice,

Just one more time

Some will win, some will lose

Some were born to sing the blues

Oh, the movie never ends

It goes on and on and on and on

(chorus)

Dont stop believin

Hold on to the feelin

Streetlight people

Come on Brewers get this to a game 4! One game at a time from here on out. If Bush is on form and they win tomorrow, then we have Mr. October Jeff Suppan going on Sunday. Let's give C.C. one more shot in a Brewer uni!

GO BREWERS!

Bush against that LH Phillies lineup scares the crap out of me. I don't think 5 runs is going to do it for the Brewer offense. Moyer is a not-so-good lefty, so in THEORY, the Brewers should do well against him.

And yes.... finally a MUST WIN! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

As it's already been stated, the way to get at Moyer is to try and wait back and go to opposite field. I honestly cannot recall a time this entire season that Mike Cameron has even put the ball in play to opposite field. However, does anyone remember how good Bill Hall used to be at going to the opposite field gap? (The year he hit .290 and was arguably our team MVP)......I sense a big game from Billy.
