5/8/06 Non Brewer game thread

For those like me who really want to watch a baseball game tonite, but the brewers are off, you can watch the twins - rangers game (Radke vs Karonka)

Tonight has been the first off-day where I'm glad there isn't a Brewer game. They just have been beat-up with injuries and poor timely hitting as of late.

 

Maddux is pitching again tonight, going for his 6th. I can't imagine he'll be as great as his first 5 wins, but who knows... The Padres haven't shown the greatest run production in the past few days.

Dueling no-nos in the 5th between Halladay (Tor) and Weaver (LAA).

evermind. I jinxed them. Both non-nos are busted up. 5-0 Toronto in the 6th.

I've got the baseball package, so I'll probably watch the Cubs @ Padres game or catch some of St.Louis.

Greg Maddux just got knocked around by the Padres and the Cubs trail 7-1 now. It's gotten so bad that Glendon Rusch is replacing Maddux.

 

By the way, I am guessing that Mike Maddux must be at the game to watch his brother pitch. Hopefully he is doing a little scouting on the Padres as well.

Cubs, Astros, and Cards all lose tonight. How about the Rockies so far? 20-13 after tonight's win.

Man if we could have won the first 2 games of that series, we'd be in great shape right now.
