I was just following the box score a little bit, and didn't see the game, but why was Delgado intentionally walked in the 9th? Did he already have a 3-0 count on him or something? I can't imagine he was walked before even seeing a pitch putting the winning run in scoring position.......or had Reyes stolen 2nd already?

I really really wanted to win this game and take 3 out of 4 from the Mets. I still remember what I felt when Victor Diaz hit that HR in 2004 and it would have been sweet to answer that with Micah Hoffpauir.

Oh well, sorry Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Congrats on your win today.

I'm a Cubs fan, and I wanted to win today since beating the Mets due to Micah Hoffpauir would've been incredibly awesome. At least you guys got the win.

Also, you guys owe us one for splitting the Mets series http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif.

Bah. Come on Cubs, no excuse for losing that one. You guys better megatank against us.
There was a pretty ood excuse. If Brewers were in the Cubs situation there is no way in heck we would have played any regulars due to the rain. I am suprised that Cubs team even got as close as they did. If it wasn't raining I am sure their would have been more regulars.

What does suck is that Marmol and Wood or going to pitch at some point in the Brewers series since they pretty much got the last couple days off.

The Brewers knocked the Astros out of the race in 2003 by taking 2 out of 3 at Enron, allowing the Cubs to win the Central Division.

The Cubs unintentionally played a part in injuring Gallardo, who would have been mentioned in the same sentence as Lincecum, Hamels, etc.; had he completed a full season, and the Brewers probably wouldn't be in this situation had he stayed healthy.

The Cubs played the final game of our series together last week like it was game 7 of the World Series, when in reality it was virtually meaningless.

We definitely don't owe the Cubs thanks for anything at this point. They can repay their debt by at the very least laying down for the Brewers as they did in the final game against the Mets.
