Soooo excited for this start, yet still very nervous about Yo being at full strength or not. I will put my faith in Brewers staff and assume he is ready to go. Regardless, I can't wait to be there to be part of the standing ovation that he should get as he walks out to the mound.
Everything I've ever known, I've learned from Brewerfan.net....Seriously though

Good Luck tonight guys. I've got a good feeling that if you guys finish off the Pirates that by Saturday and Sundays games you are gonna see a resting Cubs team and should have a decent shot at winning this wild card without a one game playoff.

Go Cubs and Go Brewers!

I'd love to see three solid innings from Yovani and Difelice each. I'd also like to see the offense put up some big numbers against the lefty. I'm predicting a big night for Rickie and a bigger night for Braun. We can do this!!! Harden should keep the Cubs in it.

Just seeing his name up there as the starter tonight is awesome.

I wonder what his pitch limit will be. Since he last threw a 75 pitch simulated outing, I would guess he'll be cut off at 80-90 pitches, depending on how things are going.

If he could give us 5 solid innings, I would be thrilled. I also wonder if this theoretically means he would be a playoff starter now. I'm not that nervous about how he's going to throw, I'm a little nervous about what he's going to do when Nyjer Morgan lays down a bunt and he has to field it, or when he makes contact and has to run down to first base.

Me, too. We he bats, I assume they will bunt him whenever possible. If he's not in a bunting situation, they'll probably just tell him to swing away and not worry about running too hard. If he hits one into the outfield, just make it to first base unless it's an easy double. If he gets on first base, just go station to station and don't try hard to take that extra base.

Yeah, I'm amazed at the huge dip in attendence in September. I think it shows how much the rest of the state supports the Brewers. Just a lot harder to get down there from Wausau on a weeknight when school is in session than it is in July.
No kidding. I was there on Tuesday, and it made for a real late night, since I live in Fort Atkinson.

You'd think more people from the actual Milwaukee area would attend games...

I don't think you can underestimate the impact the slide had on the morale of fans. People sold of their tickets for this week left and right, which is a shame because I think it will mean a lot more Cubs fans in this last series than it might have been. People got really disgusted and there was a general putting off of the Brewers/baseball season and going headfirst into the football season. People were willing to stick with the Crew and postpone their football madness, but when the September slide came, they were very quick to jump ship.

As for attendance, I've got a pair of tickets to tonight's game that I'm selling for like half price and I can't find any takers - I feel like I couldn't give them away and that's probably an indicator of how many people are actually going to be there.
