C'mon Peavey, I agree with you on a lot of stuff, but there is no "guarantees" in this game. None. Not a single one.

True, there's no guarantees, but that's as close of one as I'd offer you. I leave my best reliever in to get the final out regardless of the lefty/lefty crap.

If you ask me that was a clear case of overthinking. I get it, it's lefty/lefty and the numbers say Howard does a lot worse then.....but there is no way in the world I'd pull Turnbow from that spot. The hits he'd allowed in the inning were nothing grounders that found holes.......wow.

Is Hart in the dugout tonight? How about putting him in to pinch run for Cirillo? Can't do it since he's the last non-Catcher bench-guy left? Would you do it otherwise?

I wouldn't call that considerable.

How about last year, when in a much larger sample size, these were Howard's splits:

vs. L: .148/.175/.246 (.421 OPS)

vs. R: .323/.396/.645 (1.041 OPS)

So is Turnbow no longer our closer?? Because if he is, I can't for the life of me figure out why he wasn't "closing" that game out there. Wow, that move baffled me. That was the wrong move 100 times out of 100.
