the thought of the cubs celebrating zambrano's possible no-hitter in the brewers home clubhouse all night while the brewers have just been swept out of the playoffs is kind of fitting. but i'm sure none of the brewers will be offended by such a thing. they are too loose for that. maybe the cubs can leave some champagne for them just to rub it in.

I wish I could be a voice of reason here but I can not. I'm so far past frustrated and disappointed, I'm finding humor in this collapse. Looking back to the first month of the season I seem to recall Mr.Ned Yost telling all of us something like:

"Early season losses don't matter too much."

Or it was something pretty close to that.

yeah Ned. I must agree. Gagne's 6 blown saves very early in the year have not haunted us at all. I mean, it's not like the Cubs were just 6 games ahead of us or anything like that. Those 6 games would not have an effect on our current wild card position unless other teams started winning or beating us.... Oops.

I don't believe I've ever called for Yost's job in public before, but I'm fully prepared to be the escort while he clears out his office and heads to the parking lot.

I am also quite aware that he has his team 17 games over the .500 marker. I am aware he has made some fine moves. I am aware that things are falling apart all over the place and he can not "make" guys execute. Nedly still blows my mind. Let him take his coaching staff with him. He can also take Weeks as his lead off hitter.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

I think Mat Gamel killed Yost's dog.

No kidding. Has Mat even had a single AB yet?

Not to nit pick, but Mat had his first hit during that nasty near-perfecto vs. the Padres last Sunday. He ripped a double into the right field corner. I think that was his second MLB at bat.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
