Getting this first game would be HUGE for the Brewers. I just feel if we can win this one we can for sure take at least 1 out of the next three to split this very important series. I said when Sheets started against the Card last time it was his biggest start since the 2000 Gold Medal game. Now this is by far much bigger then that. Go get em Benny!

I don't know why, and yesterday's game certainly doesn't give me any idication that this is going to happen....but I just think that this offense is going to explode this weekend and score a bunch of runs.

Today would be a good start...prime opportunity for our cleanup hitter to maybe actually hit a HR or two.

I kind of feel the same way. I think for some reason maybe going on the road is just what the Brewers need.

2B Rickie Weeks

SS J.J. Hardy

LF Ryan Braun

1B Prince Fielder

RF Corey Hart

CF Mike Cameron

3B Bill Hall

C Jason Kendall

RHP Ben Sheets

We're still waiting for word on Gabe Kapler's shoulder injury. It didn't look good yesterday. If he misses the last 16 games, it would be a blow. The Brewers are hoping for better news than that.

Jamie Moyer debuted in 1986. The following are the (rough) ages of the players in tonight's starting lineup when Moyer debuted. Some may be off a little because I didn't take into account fractions of years.

2B Rickie Weeks - 4

SS J.J. Hardy - 4

LF Ryan Braun - 3

1B Prince Fielder - 2

RF Corey Hart - 4

CF Mike Cameron - 13

3B Bill Hall - 7

C Jason Kendall - 12

RHP Ben Sheets - 8

Alcides Escobar and Angel Salome were born that year. Mat Gamel was 1.

In short, let's kick this old guy's butt.

On the day Moyer made his debut here was the Brewers lineup.

J. Gantner

R. Yount

C. Cooper

B. Oglivie

B. Robidoux

E. Riles

R. Deer

D. Sveum

R. Cerone

Yount went 4/5 and the Brewers lost 9-2 to the Blue Jays with Bill Wegman going 5.2 IP with 6 ER.

So, word from a Philly friend is that this series is under-the-radar, it being Cowboys week. I hope that's the case and we can sneak out of there with a split. Also, I thought Moyer pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics.
Yeah, that'd be great if the fans were the ones out there playing. Or even if every single Philly player and manager was a season ticket holding Eagle DIE HARD, that may cause a little distraction.

Well, I'll ignore the tone here, since I don't think it's that controversial to suggest that an away team would rather play against smaller and less-fired-up crowds. Of course the Phillies will be focused. Sorry for sharing what I learned about the mood in Philly.
