My wife and I are going to the game tonight. In our one trip down from Madison last year and two so far this year, we're 3-0, two of those in extra innings. Lets make it 4-0! Looking forward to some stadium special sauce, some stadium special Suppan, and a Brewers victory to turn things around!

Dear Jeff Suppan, please pitch well and long into the game, protect us from the calamity of our Bullpen!
Dear Brewers Offense, please be patient at the plate and manufacture some runs.
Dear Ned Yost - there's like 25 guys in your dugout. They are there to play ball, go ahead and use them! -oh wait, but not the bullpen..
Dear Cincinnati, please come out and play like the 62-78 team that you are!

From TH's blog post on the lineup.

The Reds are starting a right-hander tonight -- Ramon Ramirez -- but the Brewers are fielding a lineup you often see against left-handed pitchers, including Bill Hall at third.

Ramirez is making his second big-league start so match-ups certainly have nothing to do with it. In fact, in Ramirez's first two big-league appearances, including one start, right-handed hitters went 1 for 17 against him.

Maybe the manuever will wake up an offense that has been struggling mightily during the team's 2-6 slide. At this point, who knows what might work to shake the team loose.

I'll talk to manager Ned Yost in a little bit and see what his thinking is with all the righties.

There is no way Gamel will get a start at 3rd base this year. No way. Hall could go 0 for his next 40 with 26 strikeouts and play terrible defense, and Yost will still start him against right-handed pitchers. Anybody hoping that Gamel will get a start anytime soon might as well give up hope like I'm doing.

I to have given up hope at Gamel even getting one shot to start. I just don't get what it could hurt to give him one start and see what he can do. I think all it could do is help with as bad as Hall and Counsell have been. I understand he is a rookie and only has two big league AB's. But the guess Ned keeps trotting out there have many AB's and are not doing anything productive.
