Do 9 Pack Holders Get Playoff tickets this year?

TuesdaysWithRillo
I haven't noticed anything in the mail, but I did move so I'm wondering if I missed something for playoff tickets to people with 9 packs. I have heard that the 20 game holders have gotten letters in the mail about them, but I haven't heard of any 9 pack holders that got any information yet. To my knowledge the 9 pack holders are supposed to get one game per round excluding the World Series. Any word on this?

There must be a ton of 20 pack holders this year compared to last year because last year we had gotten the playoff stuff in the mail by now for sure. They are probably making sure the 20 packers get first priority before they send out all of the 9 pack playoff offerings.

By the way, it sucks that we have to put down that much money for that long. The Brewers must make a ton of interest off of holding our money.

I thought I heard Trenni interview one of the ticket or sales guys during the pregame last night and he said the 20 pack and full season ticket holders had until Sept. 5th to get in their deposits before they opened up the requests to the 9 game holders. He mentioned that 80% of the 20 pack and full season ticket holders have requested playoff tickets. He also mentioed that the 5th is a hard cutoff for priority for the bigger package buyers so dont' expect preferential treatment after that date.

Our letter came in the mail today (dated that it was sent on Sept. 3). It states:

"As a 9-pack ticket holder, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to purchase postseason tickets to one NLDS game and one NLCS game."

We may purchase the tickets on the web on Wednesday September 17th.

It goes on to state that they will begin the process of identifying open tickets for the general public on Sept 19th.

Tom H's blog said that we'll be able to purchase TWO tickets to a game in each of the first rounds. Can that be right? Our 9 pack is for 4 tickets, I would think that we would be able to buy 4 seats, right?

Last year I had a 4 seat 9 pack for the regular season and was only allowed to buy 2 tickets for each round of the playoffs. This year we split the 4 tickets and now can buy 4 tickets total for the NLDS and NLCS. I am guessing you are going to be out of luck and only get 2 tickets.

Got my letter in the mail a couple days ago as well.

Are we allowed to see our potential seats yet? Or do we have to wait until we log in on the 17th? I thought the 20 game packers were able to view their seat "bumps" before they could actually purchase them. Perhaps I was wrong.

The way it worked last year, and I'm assuming it will work like this this year is:

20 pack and full season ticket holders are given their exact seat location.

10 pack holders sign in on the 17th, and it is like you are buying online tickets to a game. They show you the best available seats for the game you choose in your seating location.

Only full season seat holder get their exact seat locations. 40 will get something similar and 20 game holders will try to be be put in their same price category, but in all likelihood, if you were a new ticket holder this year, you were probably moved out. They lose a ton of seats to the media/MLB/other team/ect. so exact seat locations were not guaranteed. The longer you hold your ticket plan, the more senior you have and the better seat location you will get for the post season. Makes sense to me.

I think what Dmiles23 meant is that full and 20-pack customers are told straight up where they will be sitting, if they opt for postseason tickets (however near or far from their regular seat location) - not that they all get their 'regular' seat location.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
