Batman's Padres Series Preview and Info -- Get Your Fill

Excellent series preview as always, Bill.

 

I especially appreciate you taking a slight poke at Haundricourts typically negative game summary from Monday. It's a perfect example of the stuff he's been writing for years and Milwaukee deserves better.

 

He doesn't appear to have any appreciation for the actual impact the loss of Sheets and Ohka has had on the Brewers this year. Here's a summary of the 10 starts their replacements have made so far:

As I wrote HERE, even a conservative estimate changes that 1-9 record in those games to 5-5 if Sheets and Ohka had started them. If that had been the case, the Brewers would be 31-27 and everyone would be praising them for their great start. As fate would have it, the injuries hit and they are probably lucky to be only 4 games under right now.

 

Haundricourt needs to recognize what this team really is; a young, talented team battling some serious injuries.
