I cannot even fathom why Jenkins still starts against lefties. He is next to worthless whenever he faces a lefty. Can Yost actually say with a straight face that he thinks Hart would do worse than .150 (or whatever Jenkins is) against lefties?

Bases loaded, one out, nothing. Same old crap, and we sink further south of .500.

Yost pretty much admitted Jenkins can't hit lefties anymore by dropping him to 7th.. if you are going to do that why not sit him? I mean when you are watching someone hit and actually wishing it was Chad Moeller instead is that not a sign?

Jenks needs to sit a few days and get his head straight. He's pulling his head so bad there is no way he can see the ball when he swings. The guy hit .330 in the second half last year by taking the ball the other way. You would think he would realize that.

Bottom of the ninth. For some reason, I think we have a chance against that 89mph fastball. Let's get em boys!!!!

Isringhausen looks awful/hurt. He's really extending his hand high above his head and whipping his arm as hard as he can toward the plate. His right foot is coming off the rubber real early, too. Something doesn't feel good, I would guess.

Now he'll probably record a 1-2-3 ninth, but I wouldn't be real confident in him if I was a Cards' fan.

I forgot how much I hate hearing a loud cheer (from the scads of visiting fans) when the Brewers lose in Miller Park.

They're not Cubs fans, but Cardinal Nation is still an irritant.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

This team is very frustrating to watch. I turn on the game to see a nice 6-0 cushion and then it's just like them to let it wither away and end up giving up 10 unanswered runs. I saw Ned snap for the first time in the dugout tonight right as Winkelsas was giving up a walk. He said "***** terrible." You could read his lips perfectly. It's good to see him losing it a little bit. The time is NOW to trade Jenkins. Trade him for whatever you can get, just dump that bloated contract. He is not worth even half of what he makes. He's useless against lefties and really is no real power threat at all. You can put Corey Hart or Gross in there and not even lose a beat. In fact, I would argue we would be better off with that platoon, rather than a Geoff Jenkins playing everyday out in RF. There's a lot of weaknesses on this team and right now it's pretty much all about damage control until some semblance of health returns.

How is Jim Edmonds a platoon OF these days and Not Jenkins?

I was at the game tonight. It was awful. Stinky Winky was horrible. The defense wasnt that great (no errors, but mental mistakes). At least all the Cards fans around me were nice guys.

I totally agree that Jenkins is really frustrating me right now but I still don't agree that we should trade him. The situation with him now is so incredibly similar to last year its not even funny. The first few months last year he was downright awful at the plate and "everyone" here was begging Doug to trade him. Jenks then proceeded to bust out of his slump and carried the Crew during the rest of the season as Carlos slumped. Also, if we're going to trade Jenkins now would be the worst time to do it. We should at least wait until he's warmed up at the plate to maximize his value. Still, I dont' think its wise to give up on a guy who's signed to a reasonable contract and has a history of starting slow. I saw this situation play out last year and figure this season will likey be the same.

RyDogg, he isn't. He's the CF, but he's got a bad injury, I think abdominal. He can pinch hit or play 1b, but it hurts too much to run.

I have to say this effort tonight deserves a call out by the Owner from the player to the Manager. This was a horrible game to watch and a total joke to the paying crowd tonight.

the bullpen is a shambles and ther is no way on the god green earth should Winklesas be pitching in the major leagues
