Great job Jenks!!! As much crap as he has taken from people (including myself), I have to admit he sure came up clutch tonight. Now, we need to get back to .500 tommorow!! Get that sweep!!

I'm very sad as this is one of the game I couldn't attend this year, but I'll get over it with one of the best wins of the seasons for the Crew. Anyone else extremely excited for tomorrow's game?

On that note, is there any way the Brewers can fly in Bill Hall's father, to attend tomorrow's game?

Good stuff.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I hope the FanFest crew had a great time. I'd really like to go see some drama with the gang one of these years.

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

Yeah,

We heard Jamie's call to WSSP on the way home tonight and I was saying to Tom, "how many seconds - seconds - before Jamie mentions the quality start?" But all the talk (while we were in range) was about Jenkins.

The fanfest magic kicks in again; and better yet, at the hands of Bob Wickman. He had too many close calls toward the end of his Brewers tenure for me to like him anymore, so I delight in his blown save.

I just watched the 9th inning on tape and although they show a group in yellow shirts, it wasn't bf.net. Ours were more yellowish-orange (kind of a road stripe yellow; good stand-out color choice, Colbyjack, and once again a terrific design) and our group was closer to the top of the seating bowl. We had signs that spelled out BREWERFAN NET FANFEST 2006! and some of those letters made the videoboard.

Jimbo manned my camera for that part of the game so I could hold some signs, and did get a shot or two of the signage on the videoboard. The earliest I'll have them ready to post is Sunday night, more likely during the week.

Thanks, as always, to everyone who made the Fan Fest fun. Wonderful food (huzzah for Nicole), fabulous prizes, quality shirts, and all around good company. Maybe a little less wind next time, but better wind than rain. It would be nice if we could do this more often, but even once a year is special.

On edit:

I admit, as hopeful as I was during the last at-bat of the game, I was simultaneously standing and clapping, and thinking "GIDP." Sorry, Geoff. Thanks for proving me wrong.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Wait a minute, I thought we had determined that clutch doesn't exist?......Sorry, had to pull that one out. Seriously, I have never been a Jenkins supporter, and one game isn't going to change my mind. It does, in my opinion, make a huge difference having him bat sixth or seventh, however. I have no problems with a six or seven hitter like Jenkins; just don't want him batting third or fourth again. Sweet win tonight though.

I've ragged on Geoff plenty in the last few years. But there was something about that at bat, and that situation, where I felt like "he's gonna at least tie it".

Way to go Brewers. A win tomorrow basically eliminates the 8-game losing streak, as I think that'd be winning 9 of 15

On WSSP's post game show, Tim Allen said that this was win 8 in 12 games. It's odd you posted that comment Mr. Honks. I was thinking just after the 8 game losing skid that it they could win 9-15, that'd throw them back to .500ish ball. They are doing better than that with a shot at 11 of 15.

oops Jamie, I was telling people we've won 7 of 11, and somehow I added 1 to the numerator and 4 to the denominator.

I was telling people after the 8 game losing streak that all we had to do was tread water for a bit, and then take 5 in a row once or twice. I keep noticing on jsonline that the Crew is ahead of last year's pace, and people seem disappointed. That's a good sign.
