Combating annoying pop-ups on JSonline.com

I frequent jsonline multiple times a day, usually to check out the news and sports blogs that are updated throughout the day. Everytime I do I have to endure either a Harley driving over my screen, or now it is a some big crossover style SUV. Then, I click on a story and the stupid page peels back for a beer ad. I cannot stand this crap. Anyway to block these sorts of ads?

Use firefox and get the Flashblock add-on for it.

thanks for the tips, i've been having that problem, too.

 

been having the same thing with the forced ad at CBSSportsline. banner ads on the side i completely understand, but when a site resorts to covering up their editorial to force an ad upon you, that's typically when i stop visiting the site.
