Although Bill Hall's numbers are Bill Hall's fault, the Brewers have done absolutely nothing to help him in the past few years with the position switches and now a platoon with Craig Counsell. I have no doubt that Billy would start hitting again if he played every day for a week.

While I agree that the position switches have not helped, I have no idea how that conclusion can be reached. Bill Hall is a horrible player right now and has been all year. He's a terrible hitter as well as being a terrible fielder (again, management moving him leads to this). I really don't see how you can play him in any meaningful situation right now. He's the Mota of the everyday guys.

Didn't we just try that at the end of July? From July 21-July 30, Hall started 9 of 10 games. In that stretch, he went 7/35 (.200 avg), .255 obp, with 3 rbi and 11 K. If you take out the first game of that stretch, he went 4/30 with 10 K. I know that's an extremely small sample size, but it's on par (or below) what he's done the whole year.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone can have "no doubt" that Hall would start hitting all of a sudden. Didn't he pretty much play every day for the first month and a half? I have doubts about him hitting any time he comes to the dish. Its very disappointing, because I like him. He just isn't consistantly good, just like Rickie Weeks. Smells like super-utility was his calling.
