If there's a silver lining to this game, it's that we get to see Charlie V. get some extended work and maybe, just maybe, get to see Chris Barnwell's debut.

Your 2 for 2 on predictions tonite. care to predict a brewers offensive outburst?

yay, we're losing but still only 3 1/2 out of the wild card.

Boy, Where is that Drunk thread anyways? So glad that I sat outside, got some good sun in, drank a bunch of Miller Lite, and used up 2 1/2 hours making Beer Butt Chicken. . . . . . .

Villanueva pitched a very good game. Probably the only highlight of this ugly game. He definately deserves another start. My guess is Helling and Jackson have 1 more start to make an impression, or Villanueva will take their turn.

Oh it's gotta be Villy next start. He was actually very impressive again. 6 2/3rd, actually more than his last start. 5 K's. Just the two mistakes that went for HR's, other than that he pretty much dominated again. And NO walks.

I agree with you completely. But Ned made a decision on Helling and unfortunately it would be unfair to Helling to judge him on 1 start. Jackson hasn't exactly been lights out either. I think Villanueva will take one of their spots in the rotation in the not so distant future.

I think Helling gets a mulligan assuming he's okay physically. In the 3rd inning he didn't have any command or zip. It's basically spring training for him and could be the "dead arm" period.

Villanueva just went about his business and didn't get rattled after the 2 HR. As Daron and Bill said, the first was bad pitch call by Miller and the second just good hitting by IROD.

Thought I'd try to get some first game thread post win mojo going on

Opey76, welcome and even though your Mojo blew up in a horrific way, don't allow that to discourage you. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Heling Folkes is nothing but a stop gap,we are expecting way to much from Him.

I rather see Carlos Start and continue to get Major League Experience.

Again the Crew is at best a 500 team and seems like Darron said that toward the end of the game.

I say we need to trade Lee and Possible Clark to add players to buliding a contender to 2007

Picked a heck of a day to come on board. That had to be one of the largest 180 degree turns in game. Strike out the side with 9 pitches and look dominant in the first and then get shelled in subsequent innings. Hopefully Carlos V. gets another start and impresses yet again.
