Thought I'd try to get some first game thread post win mojo going on. Helling comes of the DL and subsequent good rehab starts in AAA to face baseball's best team. He is 8-5 against the Tigers in his career with a 4.81 ERA in 15 starts. I'll leave it to those better at this to do some preview and lineup action.

The most important part of this game is how Helling feels tomorrow morning. We need him for the long haul. I'm not looking at the wild card standings until the Brewers are 5 games above .500. I'm not getting sucked in to that until they prove to be reliable. We should have a meter running for the number of consecutive games Weeks has gone without an error. The "Week-o-meter"? Just random thoughts.

Weeks has been pretty solid in the field lately.. i think... did i miss an error?

 

Anyway, this game will be interesting.. The Tigers have a very strong lineup for now, but how long can they count on guys like Pudge and Ordonez? They have some good youngsters but i see them dropping off if they can't continue to sign the big name free agents once in a while.
