From yesterday's game notes:

Weeks expects to play

 

Second baseman Rickie Weeks sprained his left thumb on a swing in the fifth inning on Sunday when he let go of the bat with his right hand and swung through one-handed.

 

Weeks said it was a deep bruise on the same thumb on which he had tendon surgery in 2005, although the pain is on the opposite side of the thumb. He was removed from the game in the seventh inning as a precaution and doesn't expect to miss much time, if any.

 

"It's just sore right now," Weeks said. "It's just bruised. It has some pain to it."

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.
