Just for fun -- what would it take to get Jimmy Rollins?

It seems as though Jimmy Rollins is slowly falling out of favor in Philadelphia. After being benched a few games for things like showing up to the park late and not hustling on ground balls, it already seemed like Rollins wasn't getting along with manager Charlie Manuel. Recently, Rollins has gotten blasted in the Philly media for saying that Phillies fans are front-runners. It's probably an overreaction, but some have suggested that Rollins' time in Philly might come to an end soon.

So, while it's probably not a likely match with the Brewers, what would you give up for Rollins, a guy who could potentially solve the Brewers' leadoff man problems while providing good defense? His contract situation: 09:$7.5M, 10:$7.5M, 11:$8.5M ($2M buyout)

Hypothetically, would Philly be interested in a guy like J.J. Hardy? He doesn't have the speed Rollins does and his defense isn't as good, but he wouldn't be a bad replacement. I realize that Rollins probably isn't going anywhere, but I figured it'd be a fun thing to talk about since transaction news has slowed down a bit.

How does Rollins solve the Brewers leadoff man problems? Rollins OBP, adjusted to park, is lower than Weeks this year, was lower last year, the year before, and was 1 point lower adjusted to park the year before that. Besides that, SS is the last position that the Brewers should be looking for in a trade.

Even taking all that into account, it looks like Rollins may have peaked. He would probably provide value to some teams, but the Brewers aren't one of them.

True, I forgot to look at Rollins' OBP problems this year, and it looks like his slugging is taking a huge dip this year, too. He's probably peaked, but I thought it'd be an interesting idea.

I still can't believe he won the MVP award last year. What a joke that has become, especially after Morneau.

I wouldn't want him on the Brewers, but I would guess some GM would value his counting stats and give him more than he is worth.

I'm not sure I understand. What does Rollins winning the MVP have to do with Morneau? Rollins is a good player and would have value on lots of teams. The Brewers are probably one of the teams he would have the least amount of value for.
