That sucks for him. Oh yeah, Kennedy error ended this game. GAME OVER

yeah, the Cards defense kinda shut the lights out and went to bed once Carpenter left the mound. At least he didn't look in agony. Maybe he just broke some scar tissue and it "scared" him a bit and they took him out for precaution. Oh, well, we gained a game on the Cards. Woulda been nice to see the Cubs lose.

The injury to Chris Carpenter is being called a right triceps strain.

Triceps strains, like most injuries, have varying degrees of severity. If it's mild, he should only miss one start. If it's severe, we're talking about a couple of months.
