Ned letting Gagne throw 35 pitches that inning with an entire bullpen of rested arms is completely unacceptable. Ned Yost will never learn how to manage the bullpen. My friend said it right last night at the game... Ned Yost is managing one hell of a game, because he doesn't have to do anything. This is the only way he can manage, if he doesnt have to do anything. Once he needs to get a read on how a pitcher is doing, it all goes to crap. A 12 pitch AB which is won by the opposing batter with a ground rule double is a HUGE red flag waving you right in the face. Ned didn't even flinch. He just threw on his patented smirk and started thinking of smart ass crap to say in the post game presser.

Unfortunately, you can't get 15 sellouts or so in a row without filling the park with the boo-happy fans. I just wish they were as quick to cheer when something good happens, but it seems like they're always more interested in doing the wave than cheering on a Brewers rally.

Agreed. Sure Gagne had a rough outing but when you can't hit or score on the Nats it doesn't matter.

Also, again with the fans booing. Just awful, that is not going to help him and I'm sure he knows he didn't get the job done.

Hall lucked into a hit there, but I still wouldn't have let him hit against a righty. Branyan would've made more sense with 2 outs, IMO.

Hall's likely batting because Acta has the ability, unlike Yost to change his pitchers in the middle of a inning to bring a lefty to face Branyan and the bench is short

I cant criticsize the fans who pay big bucks to watch a penant contending team when they boo a guy that makes 10 million dollars serve up back to back homeruns to the last place team that hits the least amount of home runs. This forum has had more than enough booing vs not booing debate. Im not sure why its always an issue here.
