7/01/2006 Brewers (Capuano) @ Twins (Silva) 6:10pm CDT

No one wants to start today's thread?

If you want a preview of the game, well I guess you're gonna have to look it up yourself. Here's the bottom line...we really need to win tonight to avoid the possible sweep (I don't think we have a chance against Liriano) and with a tough series against Cincy coming up (games vs. Harang, Arroyo, and that young guy who shut us down in Cincy) we can't afford to go on a losing streak.

Arroyo on Tuesday? Groan. And I don't like the look of that "to be announced" in what would normally be the Davis spot (on the Brewers' probable pitchers page).

Well, go Brewers tonight. Don't make me look goofy when I listen to this game whilst waiting for the fireworks.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Let's compare 3 hitters, shall we? Jenkins is hitting .250, Mauer is hitting .390. I don't even feel like looking up the OPS, but I know Mauer is well over .900, and Jenkins is in the mid .700's. Good to see.

Although I was just in the bathroom for a good 20 minutes.

This is the way you'd expect a "cheese sandwich" type thread to start.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I love hearing all these brewer fans always talk negatively about our players. Find a new team then and you will see every team has problems. Give the complaining a rest please and just cheer the team.

Not every team has their problem batting #3.

I don't think it matters who's batting third when it's over before the third inning. Man oh Man are the Twins Hot! It's too bad we had to draw them right before the all-star break. I love interleague play but it seems MINN always has our number.

Urggh...rough first inning for Cappy. Hate to see an 0-2 HBP, and a garbage infield single by Mauer do the damage.

I hate our shifts on Mauer. He's a pure spray hitter. There's no logic.

I think we as fans have a right to complain when we want the team to win and some things just don't make sense. The fact of the matter is that there is no way Jenkins should be hitting in the 3 hole.

Who in our lineup is hitting better than him right now? Seems like pretty much EVERYBODY except Carlos is hitting like crap lately.

Well, for those that think that our .249 slugger with 7 HR's is going to carry the team, now would be a great time to start, because right now, this series has sweep written all over it.

These Twins are just something else. They are hitting well, making fabulous defensive plays, and even their "crappy" pitchers are throwing extremely well.

It's the second inning, we're down 2-0 and I don't even know why I'm going to bother watching the rest of the game. The Twins can't do anything wrong.
