Edit: Mass, as far as the blue jerseys go, I believe last year Brian and Bill did some digging and found out from the players that the blue jerseys are made from a different material than the whites and grays, and they're actually cooler to wear on hot days than the traditional jerseys. Something about the fabric that makes the uniform feel less heavy, I guess, but I do agree that it seems weird to prefer to play in the darker colors on hot days.
