Mailing List / Newsletter Provider

Hi everybody!

 

I am wondering if anybody would have any suggestions for a hosted mailing list / newsletter provider. I'm looking for two types of lists: the traditional "listserv" type of list, and also another list where I could send newsletters and announcements. People would subscribe to both types of lists.

 

I would prefer that it would be a free service, but that isn't necessary.

I'm not sure it would fit your exact needs stated, but I use http://www.campaignmonitor.com and would recommend it. An account if free and it will keep and maintain the mailing list for you without charge. You only pay when/if you send emails out. I use it for numerous clients and it has always worked well.

For my fraternity listserv, we use Google Groups. It's pretty easy to set up.
