I do not think you can point to Ryan Braun as the reason for Fielder's deficiencies this season. However, I do think it's obvious that last season, Prince Fielder was "the man" on this team. This season, it's clearly Ryan Braun. I have no idea if Fielder would think like this, or even care. I would think, that either way, he would want to play his best to get his huge contract down the line.
