Watching Carlos give up extra bases with his "defense" makes that 6 year 100 million dollar deal pretty thrilling to the rest of the NL Central.

That's why the people that still boo him are annoying on two fronts: He ended up getting more than double what Melvin offered him so I'm not going to blame him for that, and he did the Brewers a favor by opening up space for the young OFers. Why would Brewers fans not like that deal?

Agreed. With us being a primarily right handed, pull hitting lineup, it gives us a noticable advantage. He's even slower out there than I remember, especially going back on balls such as Hart's double in the 8th last night.

Hey, remember when Lee was with the Brewers and guys like Daron Sutton were impressed with the fact that Carlos Lee never made any errors and assumed he was a good left fielder because of that? Yeah, that was awesome.

It's a lot more fun watching Lee loaf around out there and never take any chances to hurt his fielding percentage when he's on the other team.

There was absolutely no indication that would be the case, though. The Brewers made him an offer that was reasonably in-line with what you'd have expected him to get, but wouldn't go five years with it instead of four. Then the Astros went out and offered 6.

It'd be like the Brewers offering Sheets a 5 year, 100 million dollar deal now and ending up getting 7 years and 200 million on the open market- the offer looks just about right now, but no one would foresee a team going out and doubling it on the market.

Because they just don't understand. They will boo at anything.

Some just join along and don't even know what they're booing about because it's "fun"..

HOLY CRAP THAT WAS LUCKY.

5-3 double play after he bobbled the ball, barely beat the runner to third, and threw to first while falling into foul territory. Luckily Tejada doesn't really run out grounders.

Braun is unreal.

Carlos did make that awesome catch against the cubs last year. Other than that he's pokey out there.

Looks like Cubs will have to use some more of their pen today.
