http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif Come on guys, I asked you guys to win 3 out of 4 or split. Not sweep! I need some breathing room before I get murdered at Miller Park next week! You guys have been playing some amazing baseball though, I'll give you that.

Can't wait man.

Getting up around 7:30 and taking off by 8am.

Which means I should start thinking about getting to bed.

Let me know what you think about Todd Tichenor, behind the plate.

Hopefully I'm sitting close. I'll have a white Brewers jersey on and probably my UWM yellow hat.

GO CREW!!!

Have the Brewers ever swept a road series of 6 or more games? I can't imagine that it has happened to often. Really looking forward to this one although I wish this was an afternoon game. Sure it will be great watching it tonight but today's work day is going to be longer than yesterday.

Hopefully Ben has his one crappy game a month out of the way and he returns to his normal pitching ways.

with the 42 pitches in the all-star game and going on 3 days rest in San Franny, I was very glad to see the Counsell pinch hit opportunity arise to get him out after only 84 pitches. on normal rest Benny will be nails.

anyone watch that dog whisperer show? well i don't either, nor do i have dogs... but apparently the premise to getting your dogs to behave (so i've heard) is establishing yourself as the Alpha.

Benny was throwing SO hard against the Rockies the day after CC's first Crew start - ran up the 11 Ks but also a huge pitch count - maybe trying to show off his stuff to someone with some Cy hardware.

It is not a process that has to take long, but I think it has already happened swiftly & organically - CC has come in and established himself as the Alpha of the staff. Benny's success over the the season's final third+ will correspond to how he handles #2 dog status.

Get the arm warm, hit your spots, drop the hammer, bite your fingernails, use your change-up like sightings of the white whale, put a gum bubble on someone's hat, work fast work efficient, and drop the hammer one more time... everything that got you to 10 - 2 pre-CC.

The worst part about the Brewer fever affliction is it seems to make the start of night games take 10 times longer to arrive. The best part of the fever is the awesomeness acheived when the game finally does start.

Brewers win 8-3.

Interesting note: It's amazing how much faster IGT's get put up when the team is on a winning-streak. Not a complaint, just an observation http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Go Crew! BTW, I can't recall perfectly, but I seem to remember something about how we have never swept the Cardinals at home. True or untrue? Also, when was the last time we even won a series down there? I think its been quite a while.

We have never swept a 4 game series i know, i think we swept a 3 gamer back in the late 90s.

Pulled from an obobo55 post on 7/21. Here's what we have left, and I could argue the remaining blue could be green.

-3, -5 -2, -3 -1, -1 0, 1 1, 3
-4, -5 -3, -3 -2, -1 -1, 1 0, 3
-5, -5 -4, -3 -3, -1 -2, 1 -1, 3
-6, -5 -5, -3 -4, -1 -3, 1 -2, 3
-7, -5 -6, -3 -5, -1 -4, 1 -3, 3

Well done Brew Crew, well done. A special thanks goes out to the Dbacks, it wouldn't have been possible without your help.
