7/24/2006 Brewers (Davis) vs. Pirates (Duke) 7:05 CT

Pittsburgh Pirates

Zach Duke (7-8, 5.19)

The last time Zach Duke was matched up against Doug Davis, Duke allowed just three runs over 7 2/3 innings against the Brewers in a 14-3 rout at PNC Park. Duke is 2-1 in July with a 6.45 ERA.

Milwaukee Brewers

Doug Davis (5-6, 4.82)

The hard luck story of Doug Davis has continued this season as Doug has been the victim of a team-high five blown saves in games he has started, including each of his last two starts. Davis is 1-1 with A 4.78 ERA in July.

... Zach is sad because he knows we are going to get a 5-2 victory. I feel some good mojo coming http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/devil.gif .

Is Koskie officially out for the year?

I think Koskie is dead.

No, he's just permanently dizzy. [insert Ben Sheets joke here]

I am officially protesting this game and will not watch because Hart is not starting. It is way too painful to watch Jenkins struggle against every lefty.

I never said Hart was Hall of Fame bound. I simply think that he can help contribute more than Jenkins can against lefties.

Why are most comments taken to extremes?

This is how it should've been for a while now. Jenkins 7th and Hall 3rd vs. lefties, and swapped vs. righties. You've gotta keep both in, but you've got to play to their strengths.

why is jenks playing tonight, Hart should be in there,

Safe to assume we will see an almost identical comment every time jenkins is in the line up for the rest of the season?

I understand Coey Hart is HOF-bound and all, but Jenkins is going to play.

you're going to see it every time he starts vs a lefty, because pretty much everyone in here knows that he shouldn't be starting vs a lefty..this is what pisses people off about yost..he is tooo loyal to players...if he goes 2-4 tonight people will be shocked, 0-4 with 3 ks people won't be...play hart

Player AVE OBP SLG OPS Jenkins vs LHP .133 .241 .200 .441

We might as well have Dave Bush hitting there.

No Corey Hart in RF ?

This is beginning to remind me of the Wes Helms situation. Its so blatenly obvious to everyone that there is never a situation in which Jenkins should be in the game vs. lefties but Ned continues to trot him out there.

Well, Pittsburgh got their 2 runs.

Now we need to score some. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
