i cant get myself to participate in this. if we win tonight and guarentee a winning series, sure. but if we lose tonight and tomorrow, this series would be somewhat of a failure...

I disagree. As much as I would LOVE a sweep or to win 3/4, we need to keep our expectations constant. Coming into this series, a reasonable expectation was winning 2/4, possibly 3. I think if we come away with only these 2 wins, while not ideal, it certainly will not be a failure. Remember for tonight and tomorrow that yes, even Ben Sheets and CC Sabathia lose ballgames. The Cards may come out just pounding the ball, we'll have to see, but I certainly hope we can take at least 1 of the 2 remaining games.

 

As for photos, I'll find some when I get home.

Sorry folks, it's hard for me to make fun of the Cardinals (they did beat us in the 82 WS) or Tony LaRussa, he has a few more World Series rings than good ol Ned. This thread is bad karma for sure.

In one thread today we praise the site and talk about how it rises above all the other crap out there...

 

...and in another we post and laugh at a video of an opposing manager's DUI arrest...

 

One thing seems contrary to another...

 

But hey, I'm the same guy who thought the "pee on myself if the Brewers make the playoffs" thread was dumb and classless, so what do I know...

Why did the police release that video? Seems incredibly unprofessional -- though I admit I don't know whether or not doing so is standard procedure or not. Seems like it was just to humiliate the guy.
