Is their a right handed version of the term Loogy?

Rorgy maybe? (Right handed only relief guy).

 

The reason I ask is if Brian Shouse is our Loogy then Mota could be our Rorgy. 1.26 whip(not great but not bad and a .213 BAA vs Righties.

 

Moral of the story. If Ned is going to insist on using Mota he should limit him to facing Righthanded hitters only if at all possible.

 

Lefties are hitting .355 against him with a whip of 2.05.

Considering Ned uses splits for seemingly everything else (probably puts his pants on opposite leg first while on the road) I am suprised he hasn't said much about this.

 

Personally, I never realized that Mota was getting killed by lefties. With those numbers, I wouldn't mind Mota being our righty-only guy.

Chad Bradford seems to have made a career doing this. Lefties have a .845 OPS against him, righties, a .578.

Well, "One-Out" is because most often you don't have left handed batters back to back. With a guy who can only get righties out, he can still go two or three batters at times.

 

Therefore, I would call the role a RAMCOAPGY (pronounced ram-COAP-gee): Righty As Many Consecutive Outs As Possible GuY
