What about Arthur Rhodes from Seattle?

He has some experience and decent numbers this year.

Would a couple of prospects ( 11 - 25 ) do it?

How about

#12 Luis Pena

Could fill Rhodes spot in the pen

and

#19 Brad Nelson

Could fill corner infield or corner outfield positions for Seattle

Why not just call Stetter back up? I don't think Rhodes is a great bet going forward, he missed all of 2007 and is 38 years old. I don't want to see the Brewers throw away more future service time for a couple months of a washed up guy like Rhodes. I mean, he was very good in 2005, but he was terrible in 04 and 06 and missed 07. He's also being used as a loogy this year, which wasn't really the case in the past. ZiPS had him projected as a below league average reliever coming into this year (then again, ZiPS had Stetter being even worse, but Stetter is at least relatively young).

I'd rather keep Pena and call Stetter up, I think that would be better for this year and the future.

Arthur Rhodes is still alive? That being said, he would have to come on the cheap...as in an oldish A ball player in need of a change of scenery...

yeah, ESPN's insider has the Brewers interested in Rhodes. Apparently, they had scouts watching him earlier this week.
