There is no way that the Brewers are going to play .333 ball for the rest of the season. Then again, it is certainly possible. I think that the lesson here is that I wish I was not a sports fan.

Despite the Brewers' struggles this past month or so, the quality of play during the game still beats the quality of any commercial that airs on FSN during the game, hands down:

- Tailgating Tips with Jerry Garcia

- "Why do they race? They race for taste!"

- (Cue music) "Moving on up to the East Side.."

- (Cue music and walking yellow lego-man) Cold filtered four times...

The Brewers were simply trying not to incur the wrath of animal protection organizations by making sure every ball they hit found a glove, as to not put all of those birds who call the Tigers ballpark home in danger. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I am proud of our humanitarian ways.

I think Russ' comment from the IGT bears repeating here:

The Crew can have two teams tied for second, get no hit and STILL not lose ground in the standings. Team of destiny, I tell ya!

Wednesday's another day.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

It's great to see that this team can put together a well pitched game with its bullpen in an emergency situation (although most of the credit goes to Villy - he was as good as you could expect last night).

In seasons' past I remember some of those games when a starter was scratched, or left early with an injury - Brewers long relievers were not good (sorry 'bout that, Matt Kinney)
