"Atleast we are not the Dodgers. They have been shut out in consecutive games in Cincinatti and are falling out of the race in the West."

Didn't they also get shutout twice by the D-Backs last week? Ouch! And we complain about our offense sometimes.

If the Cubs lose tomorrow, the Brewers will have gained a game and a half on them over the last week. Is that not crazy? Some might just say that illustrates how pathetic the NL Central really is, but does it really matter? The only reason the Brewers were expected to have any shot at the playoffs before the season started was because of how bad the Central was to begin with. Over the short term, I'd rather root for a slightly above average team that made the playoffs than for a better team that didn't.

When Sheeter is back, it will just be like trading for a Cy Young candidate before the deadline (only a month later) except we won't have to give up anything.

This will turn around. It always does. We play almost the entire month of September at home. We are in a pennant race.

These kids are battlers. Real scrappers. We'll get 'em tomorrow (by a half game if the Cubs lose). It is the Cubs game to lose tomorrow, not ours.

The bullpen (and everybody else) has a day to rest in the meantime. These kids aren't bothered by an 0-13 streak on the road. We haven't been in 1st place this long by letting that bother us. They're loose & ready to play well. We'll get the breaks. Those things even out over the span of 81 road games.

Sincerely,

Ned

The Brewers don't play tomorrow.

That's why they would only gain a half game if the Cubs lose.

I wasn't responding to any other post. The Brewers not playing tomorrow is the silver lining. I won't have to hear about another disappointing loss.

Ryan Braun is not only awesome on the field, but he's willing to stand up and give the answers most fans want to hear after the game.

Down 4-0 in the 7th inning on the road, the Brewers come storming back. Down by one and one strike away from the game ending, Braun hits a 3 run HR. Looks like a little bit of karma has finally shifted back to the Crew.

It was also nice to see Wise get his act back together. He is going to be needed down the stretch.

I was going to bring this up yesterday, but I find it quite humorous that yesterday, Carlos Lee was robbed of a basehit by his former batboy.

And in addition, Carlos Lee watched his former batboy hit a towering homerun way over his head tonight.

Winning a road series is the step in the right direction. Even though this afternoon's game stunk towards the end, they managed to win the series by showing some comeback potential in the first two games, which has been missing on the road until recently. After the Rockie Mountain Massacre, who could've thought that the Brewers would actually gain a game over the course of this road trip? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Cards and Reds coming up at home...hopefully the home crowd will help purge the bad memories of the last encounters between those teams. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

everybody all together now . . . . "at least the Cubs lost."

I still agree with what Melvin and Yost were quoted with Mark A. during the interview in the booth tonight: This is what we wanted, no matter the stress. This beats the living snot out of 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, etc. etc. etc. stopping briefly at 1992 and then continuing on to 1983.
