No i was talking about in the clubhouse to the whole team. I wasn't just talking about Wise I was talking about the squad as a whole. They don't deserve to win this game, but I will say that they have definitely played their hearts out. Shouse and Spurling in particular.

I was really, really impressed with the way Spurling pitched tonight. Jenkins may be the player of the game for his walkoff HR, but Spurling shut down the Mets for 2.1 innings while the Brewers offense kept stranding RISP.

I absolutely love the intensity from the crowd tonight.

I just got done watching tonight's highlights on the Brewers' site (no Jenks' homer up yet, argh), and yeah, they were something else. Sounded like a playoff crowd on Hall's ribbie and Damian getting the tag on Delgado.

Not to take the thread in another direction, but they have some pretty legitimate complaints over there

At any rate, the only silver lining I get through schaedenfraude involves a certain team on the North Side of Chicago. Even then I have a tendency to feel bad for my Cubs fan friends.

I love that the Brewers were sacrificing insanely for 3 innings, only to win it with the long ball. Go figure.

I have a feeling that got tired of that...stuff.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Fine by me. And I am sorry by my comment earlier it didnt really belong in the OSL thread.

That's OK, the Brewers will just call up some kid they just drafted out of high school, or a middling prospect from AA, and he will shut out the Mets for seven innings.

Nobody wants it I guess.

The Mets must lead the league in first pitch outs. No plan at the plate, just go up and swing at everything. This team sucks!!!

one of these years we are going to have to go to wagner in a nonsave situation...

If the putrid offense continues, the Mets might be in third place in a few weeks.

This game was so bad on so many levels. I hope they understand that they suck. I think I'm done watching for awhile. I really do. I can't really stand this team right now.

sele sucks. i'm starting to fall into the Wille can't manage a game camp. One bad move after another these days.

Too many injuries, too little clutch play. No one wants to step up and hit when the chips are down. Bleh. Yuck. Ugh. Barf.

I feel like I just read Brewerfan in a parallel universe and I only read three pages. Maybe we aren't alone.

You could read fan boards of any team and find the exact same thing. Managers get blamed for making poor strategic decisions, players are never gonig to hit again, the grass is always greener ect.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

My son did a great job as the junior announcer at Tueadays game. I thought he should have been allowed to keep anouncing since the 3 players he introduced scored a run and nothing happened until the 8th inning after that.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Actualy the Cubs have 2 more games left to play than we do.

Edit: If the Cubs curse keeps going they will lose both and give 1st place to us. Had to add that to make it a silver linning type tone.

It's been a great ride and it will be a great ride to the finish. I'm happy no matter how we finish. (subject to change)
