I'd venture to guess that about 80% of those people weren't being completely honest, for one reason or another.

 

Why? What good would come of lying?

Yes, but not the time to follow one close enough to say, 'I have time to follow my team!' Umps are very busy, and even with all the modern technological perks, have very little time to do much more than what jhart mentions. They have such a grueling schedule during the regular season... now come the offseason, I'm sure there's more time to stay updated.

Inconsistent strike and ball calls last night late in the game. I am still wondering where Riske's second pitch to Kemp was and what was wrong with it other being knee high and nearly down the center of the plate. Can we just not have an umpire call balls and strikes and use K zone while we are at it with the changes and instant replay?
