Had we lost the WC would be in doubt, since we need an effective BP. I've said it before, I'll say it again, Turnbow and Cappelean, when he comes back are the keys to the last 2 months of the season. I'm more encouraged now than ever before that we can win the WC. We've got the best staff of any of the WC teams, if the bullpen can come together watch out.

There is too much talk about "sweep or bust". We have to win most, if not all, of our series'. It is amazing what can happen in a short period of time in baseball. We could lose the next 2 games to the Cardinals and still make the playoffs. It won't be easy, but it could happen.

I don't think so. I've felt for the last month or so that at some time the Brewers need to make a statement. Sweeping the Cardinals would be the first part of that statement. The second part would be winning 8 or 9 games in a row.

 

That being said, they can't do it. Their offense is too offensive.

They'll need to score more that 4 runs in a couple of games to have a long winning streak.

Just reading the thread a bit I cant help but laugh at some people. I would have to say the winners tonight are Canada, Ciskie, and brett. All they do is complain about doug davis, over and over, but his last few outings have been really good. So no cluie what you are talking about. He gets in trouble but so did carpenter. So he sucks because he kept getting out of jams and gave up hits to the brewers? Your points are just useless and not even valid to what is going on?

 

It gets better when you complain about Davis and how he should be taken out but then start complaining that Kolb is up in the bullpen. Do you have any clue what is going on? Just bring something to the converstaion besides negativity and just nonsense. Make a point that shows you are a fan and just dont need something to do on a friday night, which may be the case.

 

Actually I think you could just write in blue the entire time seeing you never make any serious comment or anything that is positive. Turnbow sucks, davis sucks, mench sucks,,, Well they all did something to win the game tonight.

I don't understand the conclusion that just because he happened to get a win, and got out of trouble a couple times, he suddenly is pitching great.

 

But I'm sorry we're all such idiots for thinking Doug hasn't pitched very well this year.
