Yeah, basically. I honestly have zero clue as to why he's playing - do they really feel they have to justify the trade? I hope that's not the reason.

Mench scares me. He's Carlos Lee without the power - i.e., he swings at everything, never walks, looks dumb on bad pitches, and doesn't really hit the ball out of the ballpark consistently. I'm actually very depressed thinking about him in LF next year...

 

The best part of the Lee trade for Texas is removing him from their 2007 OF.

I love the little games that coaches play to try to get their hitters out of huge funks. If Nelson had any balls, he would just flat out say that his swing is garbage right now and he's losing bat speed every week.
