Banish the lyrics stuck in your head thread.

hawing

If you're the type who looks at lyrics and has them stuck in your head for a while, you may want to pass on this thread.

However, if you have lyrics stuck in your head and believe that posting them here will help get them off your mind...we're here for you.

I'll start with a Duran Duran classic.

The reflex is an only child, he's waiting by the park

The reflex is in charge of finding treasure in the dark

And watching over lucky clover. Isn't that bizarre?

Every little thing the reflex does

Leaves you answered with a question mark.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Get out of my mind Little River Band!

The other guy won't be around to talk to our kids
He won't understand when you're down the way that I did
We had it all, you and I, we just need to try again

I usually have a song stuck in my head every day, today is "Everybody Knows this is Nowhere" by Neil Young,

"Everybody seems to wonder
What it's like down here
I gotta get away
from this day-to-day
running around,
Everybody knows
this is nowhere."

I wanna bop, with you baby,

all night long

I wanna be-bop with you baby,

till the break of dawn.

- Dan Seals

I have no idea how this song got into my head as I despise all things country but this thread popped up at the perfect time.

It's the Klements sausage racers!

So why do they race?

They race for taste!

It's Frankie, and Guido, and Stosh,

And Brett Wurst, and Cinco!

Just look at them go,

Because they know,

When you run out of Klements,

You run out of taste!

Not sure why. Heard it a couple of days ago, can't get it out of my head.

You've gotta be kidding me. Even if I don't hear this for days it'll be stuck in my head. It hadn't been for a while...

"Bargain" by The Who was the last song I've heard, so that's it currently.

Hey, I put a disclaimer in the lead post. Reading others' posts in this thread does incur a risk.

I should have posted in blue.

I am just one of those people that no matter what a song is stuck in my head. I can barely finish a thought without thinking of a song lyric. Now I am on to

"Once there was a way to get back homeward

Once there was a way to get back home

Sleep pretty darling do not cry

And I will sing a lullabye"

Oh well, the Rock Island line

She's a mighty good road

Rock Island line is the road to ride

Ya, the Rock Island line

Is a mighty good road

And if you want to ride

You gotta ride it

Like you find it

Get your ticket at the station

On the Rock Island line

Well, I may be right

I may be wrong

I know you're gonna miss me when I'm gone

Sergeant O'Leary is walkin' the beat

At night he becomes a bartender

He works at Mister Cacciatore's down

On Sullivan Street

Across from the medical center

Yeah and he's tradin' in his Chevy for a Cadillacacacacacacacac

You oughta know by now

And if he can't drive

With a broken back

At least he can polish the fenders

And It seems such a waste of time

If that's what it's all about

Mama, If that's movin' up then I'm movin' out.

Mmm, I'm movin' out. Ooh-hoo, uh-huh, mmmm

I wear my sunglasses at night so I can, so I can

watch you weave, then breathe your storylines.

And I wear my sunglasses at night so I can, so I can

keep track of the visions in my eyes.

While she's deceiving me it cuts my security.

Has she got control of me?

I turn to her and say:

"Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades, oh no.

Don't masquerade with the guy in shades, oh no.

I can't believe it!

'Cause you got it made with the guy in shades, oh no."
