Fall/Winter videogame lineup

I loved the first Bioshock and then skipped the second one. I will say that playing the first two does not limit the story in this Bioshock game, although there are nods to the original and very specifically at the end. Also, I think you made the right choice playing on the computer. I've seen the graphics on both platforms and the computer brings a lot more of the game to life.

I guess I am playing it again and it's much better this time around. I have it on "Hard" now instead of "Normal" and it changes the style of play from run and gun to a more cover based combat. This style of combat is more rewarding in my opinion. I normally wouldn't play a game twice if the ending is the same, but the way the story is set up in Bioshock Infinite, it's almost required to playthrough again if you want to really understand everything. The first time through you really have no idea what any of the characters' roles are until at least the third act (and the big reveal at the end). During the first playthrough, something significant to the plot would occur, but it's not really revealed WHY until the very end. Now that I know what is going on, I can approach the story with a greater connection.

I started it up last night after I was done on the minor league forum and all of a sudden it was well after midnight. The game seems to have a bit of Fallout-New Vegas feel to it where you keep running across things related to your character but you have no idea what they mean. I figured it would all tie in at the end, thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone else beaten Bioshock Infinite yet? The gameplay is pretty enjoyable, especially the final battle, but the story is extremely complicated, weaving in and out of itself through time and space. Even after reading online to try and understand the parts of the story that I missed, I am still confused about some aspects. I'm debating playing it again.

It plays around with science fiction, religious belief and myth-making to an amazing extent. I don't want to hijack this thread for a one that would become full of spoilers. We could move to another thread if you would like to discuss it more.

Played it on Xbox for 4 months. Waiting for the next DLC. I have 5 level 50 characters.

do you have the season pass logan? if so, you can download the new ultimate vault hunter mode and up your characters to level 61. i've got one of my assassins at level 54 right now. the good thing about the new mode is you can never outlevel the game. once you level up, so do all the enemies so it's always just as challenging.

I've got it and played it a little, I've been waiting for someone to play with.

If you're on playstation, i'll play with you. I have one level 54 assassin, and one level 25 commando that i just started a week ago.

I have the season pass. I don't really want to play through again. 10 times through the main story. I have every single achievement and because of some luck, I have run into at least 2 cases of guys dropping 50+ orange weapons/items so I am all stocked up. I know I can get better stuff now but I am just not motivated to play again.

I did not like the last DLC much. The Witch Doctors were practically cheating. Made it not fun.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Yea, I really have no idea. I was just having fun flying through shooting dudes. I really don't remember where I am at. I remember I just beat a boss that was kind of a challenge by myself...or maybe I am stuck on him. I don't really remember.

I got a new video card in anticipation of playing SimCity 5 (which I luckily was able to get a refund for, what a piece of crap) but it motivated me to purchase another PC game I had been hearing things about.

I can't recommend Kerbal Space Program enough. Its still in development, so right now its just a sandbox game, but its so much fun and very challenging. The idea is basically you build space ships, launch them, the pilot them. The characters are cartoonish, but the rockets, physics, and solar system you play in are very real.

There is no official goal or career path yet, but thats fine with me. Right now just getting a craft into orbit is challenging. I finally got a space station started, and I've also been able to do a flyby of the moon. Actually landing on the moon and docking with the space station are the next steps. I may integrate them, upgrading the space station to be a refueling station. You can also build space planes which I haven't even touched yet.

I've heard about Kerbal Space Program, and only good/great things. I don't game on my computer (PS3) -- does it require a sophisticated setup? The concept of it just really intrigues me.

I'm about the last person who could tell you what kind of PC setup you need. I ran it on a fairly old computer with all the settings turned down just fine, but noticed a huge improvement when I put in a videocard that cost around $100.

I am a level 14 assassin. I have played it slightly and really enjoy the dialogue. I popped it in last night and just walked around a bit, I just met with Rolan in Sanctuary.

Went out today & got used copies of CoD: World at War, & Just Cause 2. I've played World at War & liked it, just didn't own it. I typically stick to sports & war games, but I've heard only really good things about Just Cause 2, & am really looking forward to playing it. Sounds crazy.

Just Cause 2 has been fun, but I haven't played it in a while (just kinda burned out on it).

I've been playing FIFA Ultimate Team for the first time this season on FIFA 14 (PS3) and am COMPLETELY ADDICTED. What an amazing gaming mode!

I picked up Assassin's Creed III today. While the game definitely starts slowly (I'm up to the point where you arrive in Boston as Haytham Kenway), so far I love the story & aesthetics. I can see why Black Flag is focusing on the naval world, as even just the few playable scenes on the voyage from England to New England are awesome.

I got it at launch. I've played it a bit, Assasin's Creed 4 looks great, though not the jump we have seen in past system upgrades. Its not much better graphically than The Last of Us (best game I've ever played, go buy it) and I am still playing GTAV.

I'd wait unless there is a launch title you really need. And in that case, I'd go with a PS4 over the Xbox since its $100 cheaper.

This is all you hear about this game. I really need to wake up & go get it. It's not typically the kind of game I'm drawn to, but 1 bazillion people or whatever can't be wrong.

To follow up, that's not just something I throw around. I don't play as many games as I used to (stupid being an adult getting in the way), but its my opinion and I feel strongly that it is the best game I've ever played.

For the decade prior to that, I would have said Ocarina of Time and I didn't think that would ever change.
